Drive right up to your unit on our extra wide driveway aisles for convenient easy unloading of your items. Ideal for heavy large items, appliances and business inventory. Extra high ceilings allow you to stack more and rent a smaller space.
Traditional Self-Storage
Interior storage units are sheltered from the wind and elements when you open your space door and offer the interior finished hall floor for additional area to sort your items, all while listening to classical music. We also offer cedar-lined units.
Temperature-Controlled Storage
Ideal for items sensitive to climate changes and humidity; such as furniture, electronics, documents, and artwork.
Mini Storage
Compact storage spaces perfect for small storage space needs, such as seasonal decorations or personal belongings. Great for storing smaller items during high fire season or when traveling as buildings are fire sprinkled and made of metal.

What documents are required when renting a storage unit with Patterson?
A valid photo ID and a current credit or debit card.
Do I need to have insurance when renting a storage unit?
Proof of insurance is required under your lease to protect your stored items. Often a client will have a homeowner’s policy or renter’s policy that will include items stored off premises. If you don’t have a policy or yours does not offer offsite item coverage, we offer a Protection Plan that can be purchased on a month to month basis at move in. Sometimes client will purchase our Protection Plan even when they have insurance as the Plan has no deductible and their home policy may have a high deductible.
Are moving supplies available for sale at your facility?
Yes, we offer a full box and supply moving store which can save you many errands. Our managers can help you pick out what is best for your items from bubble wrap to dish pack boxes. Visit our website to see the full list of the items we offer.
Will my belongings be secure at Patterson Self-Storage?
Patterson Self-Storage is equipped with video cameras inside and outside the buildings. Other security measures include electronic gate access, perimeter fencing, electronic-coded building entrances for client access only, staff on site walking the property, an on-site resident manager, and the property is well-lit so clients feel comfortable accessing their items in the evenings. Security is an important factor you should consider when selecting a storage center in Santa Barbara or Goleta.
What are your storage facility hours?
Every day from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
If you are the first to arrive at the Patterson driveway, please unclip the chain and place
it on the side of the drive. If the gate is shut at Calle Real, please use the second driveway.
Does your main office observe holidays?
Our storage facilities are open 365 days of the year, however the office is closed:
New Year’s Day,
Martin Luther King Jr. Day,
Easter,
Memorial Day,
Independence Day,
Labor Day,
Thanksgiving and
Christmas Day.
The office is open 9 am – 1 pm
on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Do you have restrooms on site?
A restroom is located on the property for client use.
May I dispose of my recycling and trash on site?
All trash and recycling must be taken with you. Please do not leave any trash in the driveways
or outside the trash bins.
What are your policies on moving out of my storage?
Please complete an ‘Intent to Vacate’ form (7) seven days before your intended move out date.
Forms are available in the office or can be emailed to you.
Who do I call for emergencies at your facility?
Call 911 for life threatening emergencies. For all other emergencies, please call (805) 964-0924 or
(805) 964-7000 during business hours, and (805) 964-6960 after hours.
